And in that moment I decided that I was going to figure it out… so I started to pay attention to what other businesses in the nutrition and fitness industry were doing and what was successfully sold at the gym... and it was signature group programs.
Since I was basically repeating myself with the few clients I did have, I thought, hey, I can create a signature group program.
So I devoured every weight loss book, I joined Weight Watchers to learn how they were doing it. I joined weight loss support groups. I asked my sales manager at the gym for sales lessons.
For the first time I realized there were actual books on learning how to sell and market your business, so I read those and about four months later I had a group weight loss program and 12 women in my first group.
That’s when I realized that I didn’t have to ONLY sell single sessions with one to two follow-ups. I could create a group program, see more people in one hour than I could in a whole day and triple my hourly rate.
